Amerigroup changes March 3rd, 2014

Amerigroup is making the transition to take over medical services for foster care children in Georgia effective March 3rd, 2014. 

With these changes, several changes come into play. If you are not in network with Amerigroup at this time, you must apply asap to become a participating provider. You are allowed up to 90 days from March 3rd (June 3rd will be the deadline) to continue to see these patients who will be transitioning. Prior authorization is required, but will not interrupt services for up to 90 days for payment. Fax documentation for prior authorization to Amerigroup at: 877-842-7187.
